Compact

Accessed from the File...File Operations menu, compacting your data is recommended monthly. When data is deleted, it leaves spaces in the data file causing the data engine to work harder to find and display your data. Maintaining a healthier and more optimized/efficient database is accomplished by compacting regularly, monthly is recommended. Compacting will also reduce file size, saving hard disk space. Compacting is performed prior to backing up; therefore if you backup your data monthly, the data is already being compacted.
